The
following
is a
letter
written
by a
preacher
to
an
aspirin
company.
Dear
Sir:
I
noticed
your
aspirin
works
great
Monday
through
Friday,
for
I
see
people
making
it
to
their
jobs
and
it
seems
to
work
even
greater
on
Saturday.
I
see
people
with
arthritis
out
working
in
the
yard,
playing
golf,
boating,
but
your
aspirin
seems
to
be
worthless
on
Sunday.
Could
you
please
add
an
ingredient
that
would
work
on
Sunday?
The
aspirin
company
replied
with
the
following.
Dear
Sir:
Thank
you
for
your
letter.
We
thank
you
for
recognizing
that
our
product
works
wonders
every
day
but
Sunday.
We
would
remind
you
that
aspirin
is
not
a
derivative
of
aspiration.
Aspirin
was
not
designed
to
create
desire,
ambition,
nor
enthusiasm.
This
it
the
human
factor
that
must
be
added.
This
is
why
it
works
so
well
on
Monday
through
Friday
and
especially
on
Saturday.
We
are
sorry
but
our
product
was
not
designed
to
treat
religious
indifference
and
lukewarmness.
It
will
not
inspire
faith
nor
religious
zeal.
